There’s so much to pack in as we head into the heart of the capital. Not only that but the city has an important bearing on my family and some of the inspiration for the Big TOE. My great-great-great grandfather was Sir James Wainwright and as Treasurer he led the fundraising for the advancement of modern hospitalisation, refurbishing St Thomas’ Hospital in line with the guidance of Florence Nightingale. My mum was the fashion buyer for Liberty of London in the 60s, and helped introduce the catwalk to London working with Mary Quant.
