Preview
Just off the route at mile 16, Stowmarket, with its Food Museum and daily talks, is the town on one side and Haughley Park, a country estate with weddings and event space on the other. Both are diversion options, time permitting.
At mile 26 the route passes through the medieval village of Lavenham.
Post Run
Evening walk on Stour Valley Path, that inspired Gainsborough and Constable landscapes, and in Sudbury, The Talbot Trail with its statues depicting the town’s history.
The Stour Valley Path is also a popular 100K ultramarathon route that I have completed.
