A 6am start with a view to getting breakfast in Havant, ahead of Havant parkrun at 9am. To do this we leave the route at mile 9. Then we leave Havant to head for the Isle of Portsea.

The Isle of Portsea plays host to everything maritime. Ships and museums to visit include The Mary Rose and The Dockyards where HMS Warrior, HMS Victory take the headlines whilst submarine HMS Alliance also has quite the story to tell. The Dockyards tour is the likeliest to fit in, either during or post run.

We must of course also visit the sea and that is done by Southsea Pier and Gosport Ferry.

There is also Gunwharf Quay and the Spinnaker Tower if we want to get a great view of it all.

The Cathedral is in keeping with the military presence, its tower was once used as a lighthouse.

Post Run
The day ends in Fareham, just a mile or so from the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson. That offers free entry so we’ll go there for some post run chat and photos.
