Monday 12th August

It is hometown day, which will be a special one for me, but the route also stacks up well with so much to see and do including Britain’s best pre-history sites.

First up is the end of the Cotswolds with the market town of Corsham, a place used for many film productions including Poldark. We go through Corsham Court before heading to Chippenham.

In Chippenham the route takes a ceremonial tour of the gravel car park where my running club, Chippenham Harriers meets.

Then it is up the High Street with one or two diversions to take in local businesses.

After Chippenham we visit Calne and then at mile 24 should get a good view across to the White Horse at Cherhill. The I head to a finish for the day at the stone circle at Avebury.
